How the workflow operates
When a student's academic scores drop below a defined threshold, is absent frequently, or is flagged for a behaviour concern, the system creates an intervention alert. The relevant staff member opens the intervention record, documents the concern and the action taken — a one-on-one conversation, a referral for counselling, a parent meeting — and sets a follow-up date. Progress notes accumulate over time, giving anyone who works with the student a full picture of the support history.

Can multiple staff members be involved in a single student's intervention?
Yes. An intervention record can be assigned to one primary owner but visible to all authorised staff involved with the student, so teachers, counsellors, and administrators can each add notes.
How does the system decide which students to flag for intervention?
You configure the thresholds — for example, three consecutive absences, or a term average below a set score. The system applies those rules automatically, but staff can also manually flag any student.
Are intervention records visible to parents?
Intervention records are for staff use only by default. Summaries or selected notes can be shared with parents during meetings at the school's discretion, but the full record remains internal.
Can we track long-term outcomes, such as whether a student's performance improved after intervention?
Yes. Because intervention records link to the student's academic and attendance data, you can review the data from before and after an intervention to assess whether it was effective.
